Landon Downs, CFA
PARTNER, VAncouver

Landon Downs is a Partner and Co-Founder of Agentis Capital. He is a seasoned entrepreneur having co-founded an industrial real estate holdings company, Minor Capital VCC and 1QBit. Landon’s accomplishments span a diverse range of leadership roles, from funding early stage investments to co-founding startups, negotiating mergers and acquisitions to advising on some of the largest public-private-partnership infrastructure transactions in Canada. Throughout his career he has advised on the deployment of over $6bn of capital.

Prior to Agentis Capital, Landon worked at Macquarie Capital Markets Canada in the investment banking division.

Landon received a BComm (with distinction) from the University of Victoria, is a CFA Charterholder and has attended Singularity University’s Executive Program.

In addition to working in the technology and finance fields, Landon is an active angel investor and community volunteer. He has served on the boards of the Victoria CFA Society, Acumen Canada and Vancouver+Acumen.


Andrew Grieve

Andrew Grieve is a Partner and Co-Founder of Agentis Capital. He has worked on a wide variety of transactions including: restructuring transactions, capital raisings, project finance transactions, take-private transactions, general M&A transactions, and high-yield loan transactions. Throughout his career he has advised on more than $20bn of committed financing and completed transactions.

Prior to Agentis Capital, Andrew held positions at Macquarie Capital Markets Canada and Macquarie Securities (USA).

Andrew holds a BComm (honours) from the University of British Columbia. Andrew graduated from Canadian Army Staff College and holds the rank of Major in the Canadian Armed Forces, where he is currently in his second and final year of the Joint Command Staff Program.


Robert Van Belle
PARTNER, VAncouver

Robert Van Belle is a Partner and Co-Founder of Agentis Capital. He is an experienced banker having worked on a variety of buy-side, sell-side and capital raising mandates within infrastructure, industrials and technology.  He is a director of a local financial institution and two industrials companies.  Robert has also managed restructuring projects and regularly works with companies post-acquisition to solve strategic and operational challenges.

Prior to Agentis Capital, Robert held positions at Macquarie Capital Markets Canada and the Corporación Interamericana de Inversiones (a unit of the Inter-American Development Bank).

Robert holds a MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC.





Tyler Maxey is a Manager at Agentis Capital. He has worked on a variety of transactions in the infrastructure asset class with focus on transportation, renewables, regulated utilities, and social infrastructure. He currently leads the firm's asset management practice and helps clients achieve portfolio objectives via a suite of technical and strategic capabilities.   

Prior to Agentis Capital, Tyler held positions at BCA Research and the Public Sector Pension Investment Board. Tyler was also previously actively involved in British Columbia’s biotech industry with positions at both MDS Nordion and Stemcell Technologies.

Tyler holds an MBA from the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University and a BSc in Chemistry (honours) from the University of British Columbia. Tyler is also a CFA Charterholder.



Fred Robert is a Director at Agentis Capital. He is an experienced infrastructure investment professional with transaction and asset management experience in all core and “core plus” sectors of the asset class. Fred has participated in direct transactions globally in transportation (airports, roads, ports, rail and asset leasing), utilities (gas, electricity and water), power (renewables, hydro and conventional), telecommunication and various other assets exhibiting infrastructure-like characteristics. Fred has also been responsible for the asset management of several portfolio companies across the globe.

Prior to Agentis Capital, Fred held positions at the Public Sector Pension Investment Board.

Fred holds a MSc in Financial Economics from HEC Montreal and a BA in Economics (honours) from McGill University.
