We founded Agentis Capital in 2009 in response to the need for rigorous independent advice grounded in unbiased financial analysis. 

 

Agentis is dedicated to providing our clients with transparent, comprehensive financial advisory services that unlock value at every stage. We have worked on projects in more than 20 countries, completed transactions with more than CAD12bn in enterprise value, and represented more than 30 clients, many of whom are global leaders in infrastructure.

We believe in the importance of bespoke service, that every transaction is unique, that every valuation starts from a blank page, and that rigorous analysis is fundamental for a successful outcome.

Robert Van Belle

Robert is an experienced banker having worked on a variety of buy-side, sell-side and capital raising mandates across a large number of infrastructure asset classes, industrials and technology.  He is a director of a local financial institution and two industrials companies.  Robert has also managed restructuring projects and worked with management of companies following transactions he has completed.

Prior to Agentis, Robert worked at Macquarie Capital Markets Canada and the Corporación Interamericana de Inversiones (a unit of the Inter-American Development Bank). Rob earned his MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC.

Robert retains a keen interest in emerging markets with a focus on Latin America.

 

Landon Downs, CFA

Landon is a seasoned entrepreneur having co-founded an industrial real estate holdings company, Agentis Capital Partners, Minor Capital VCC and 1QBit. 

Landon’s accomplishments span a diverse range of leadership roles, from funding early stage investments to co-founding startups, negotiating mergers and acquisitions to advising on some of the largest public-private-partnership infrastructure transactions in Canada. Throughout his career he has advised on the deployment of over $6Bn of capital. 

Previously Landon worked at the Macquarie Group in the investment banking division. Landon received a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from the University of Victoria, is a CFA Charterholder and has attended Singularity University’s Executive Program. 

In addition to working in the technology and finance fields, Landon is an active angel investor and community volunteer. He has served on the boards of the Victoria CFA Society, Acumen Canada and Vancouver+Acumen.

 

Andrew Grieve

Andrew has worked on a wide variety of transactions, including restructuring transactions, capital raisings, project finance transactions, take-private transactions, general M&A transactions, and high-yield loan transactions, with a total aggregate value of committed financing and completed transactions of more than $20bn. 

Prior to Agentis, Andrew held positions at Macquarie Capital Markets Canada Ltd., and Macquarie Securities (USA). He holds a BComm (honours) from the University of British Columbia. 

Andrew is a member of the Canadian Army Primary Reserve. Andrew graduated from Canadian Army Staff College in 2014, is currently attending Joint Command Staff College, and holds the rank of Major in the Canadian Armed Forces, where he is currently the Battery Commander of 68 Battery, 15th Field Artillery Regiment, the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery.
